To predict the suitability of one species (LooCV) only on Wild criteria or Captivity criteria appears to be less accurate and reliable. In 1973 Tinbergen, jointly with Lorenz and Karl von Frisch, was presented with the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine “for their discoveries concerning organization and elicitation of individual and social behaviour patterns.” A Nobel Prize for such a wide theme is unusual; more often, it is awarded for a single discovery. I contend that this same attitude long has been a cornerstone of genuine spiritual work - a radically and ruthlessly empirical, albeit introspective personal activity, that can compliment western science in one's pursuit of self-knowledge.
