Modo 701 now scales better than 601 and "Modo continues to expand in this area of scalability." Radiosity: Unlike raytracing, radiosity is calculated independent of the camera, and is surface oriented rather than pixel-by-pixel. The texturing in Polyray is not limited to a few predefined styles - you can use mathematical expressions to modify any part of the shading. If I increment the y coordinate of the camera some more, the cylinder disappears! This is one of four renderers that ships with 3ds Max.
