Company History

VANSCO was founded in 1997 by Vance Fish. Vansco began as a manufacturing and supply source for electrical wire harnesses. Over the years, Vansco expanded its capabilities to include cable assemblies, final assemblies and sub-assemblies as well as ancillary services including product design, stripping, terminating, cutting, potting, hand labeling, and testing. In 2012, Carolyn Fish began managing Vansco after the passing of her husband, Vance. In 2016 Vansco received ISO 9001 certification. The company currently supplies products to local and regional electrical power distribution and control products manufacturing and supply companies. Vansco operates out of its original facility on Highway 72-221 East in Greenwood, South Carolina.

New Ownership! – In 2024, after a succession planning effort and over 10 years of success operating VANSCO, Owner Carolyn Fish decided to retire and found an enthusiastic buyer in her production manager – Al Merrill.  As the new owner Al is growing the company to serve new customers and expanding product lines and capabilities with existing customers.  We are pleased that Carolyn has agreed to stay on during an extended transition period.
